VICTOR SHORES

We recorded at The Hideaway Studio and we could not be happier with the tracks.

Dan drank beers with us and took us to a crappy burrito place. (First time burrito roller, lax on the sour cream, poor service, destroyed bathroom, etc)

He also played with his PBR zippo a lot, but never actually lit anything on fire.

There were times where I’m pretty sure I saw him using a wand, but he’s sneaky. An engineering magician.

Simon from Mystery Train assisted Dan with the session. He has great hair and is super nice. It was great having his helping hand.

Donny took a couple naps and wanted to turn his bass up louder the whole time.

Bryce took his clothes off and kept leaving us. He drove to St. Cloud, then turned around and met us at the bar.

I just did a bunch of pick slides and tried to steal Dan’s engineering tricks.

The tracks are done and we’re waiting to hear on a few things before we announce exactly what’s going to happen with them.

In the meantime, here’s a video of random clips!
And here’s a link to some pictures from the sessions as well;

Oogle away ya’lll

Victor Shores and Arizona Wilder

(Source: youtube.com)

Back from Wintour

Tour was loads of good times.

It’s always so hard to even begin to explain to someone how a tour went or to about all of the stupid inside jokes there were so I’ll just sum it up as easily and briefly as possible.

Met some amazing people

Played some awesome shows with sweet bands

Got so frail

Mid-90’s screamo thighs

Arm jowls

D-pain

Going on party watch

Creaching vbs

creaching the sitch

creaching in general

It was awesome to spend some time with the guys in I, Apparatus and as sad as it is that they are done making music together, it was definitely awesome to be there for every one of their last shows to see them until the end.

We wish those doods the best of luck with life in general and we know that it’s not the last that we’ll hear from them.

We have a lot in store for the next month and are super excited to get all of our news out.

Recording/future releases/shows/etc

Right now we’re planning on demoing out our new jams in Minneapolis at our bros in Battlefield’s practice space. Thanks to Dan Jensen who is truly a superior human being.

AND THEN

We’re playing 3 shows with our boys in Arizona Wilder March 2nd-4th.

We’re super excited to get on the road with these guys.

Dates are as followed:

March 2nd - Milwaukee, WI @ The Fly Honey Warehouse

March 3rd - Madison/Cedar Falls, IA

March 4th - Minneapolis, MN

The dates will be confirmed in a day or two and then we’ll post them again.

Mission for the day: Go out of your way to show a rad person you know a band or song that they’ll love.
It’s good feeling.

This was such an amazing time, felt great to be back in North Dakota from tour and see so many famliar faces. Big props to The New Direction for putting on such a great 3 day event, and every single person helped with a show, let us sleep on their floors or came out to a show on the WinTour. It was a great 15 days with I, Apparatus and are going to miss those guys a lot. Big plans for the future, keep an eye out for our upcoming 7 inch EP.

Big Business in 2012

Hey Friends!!
Hope everyone’s New Year was a success. Big thanks to anyone that came out to a show, or helped us in anyway possible this past year. We’ve been doing nothing but preparing for tour and writing for our upcoming 7” inch EP for the last couple of weeks. Getting stoked!

This week we’re going to Minneapolis to demo out some of the new jams with our friend Dan Jensen from High Hopes and Battlefields. He’s an ultra bro for helping us out and we’re super excited to get the new tunes on tape.

We are very excited to post these upcoming 2012 WinTour dates with our friends I, Apparatus. We have never toured straight South, and are very anxious/excited for the oppurtunity to do so. In case you haven’t heard, James is no longer the drummer of Victor Shores. We wish him the best with his future endeavors, and are still great friends. Our new drummer is long time friend of David’s from the western side of North Dakota, Bryce Mack. Bryce is an awesome dude, a great drummer and writing for the new EP has been going great.

2012 will be an amazing year for us and we are beyond excited for the future.

Listed below is the WinTour dates with I,Apparatus.

Here’s a stupid video from our TORE with TMP in attempt to keep you interested. It’s in Bozeman, MT the morning after we played a wild and crazy fun show at the Haufbrau.

Cooler things to come…..

We’ve been dormant for awhile now, but do not fret!
We have a lot of big things coming, and we’re playing our first show with our new drummer Bryce Mack tomorrow.

The show is at Dylan and Billy from Tiny Moving Part’s house.
It’s an early one! Starts about 5 o’clock, so get there on time!
It’s us, TMP, and Elders from Minneapolis.
If you’re interested in coming, check facebook for the event or get a hold of us somehow for the address.

It’s gonna be a packed, fun show!

Also, we have a show with Worrier and Bloom of Doom (among others) at Ojata Records in Grand Forks on Friday.

We’re excited to have some shows booked again, and excited for you to hear the new music!

We played across Montana with the help of our now awesome friends, Do It Kappa!
They are seriously solid guys and so much fun, so you should check them out!

We’ve spent the last week in Seattle playing some killer shows, hanging out, doing some major exploring, and most importantly; recording our 7” split with Tiny Moving Parts titled “Spirit Animals”.
The track list is:
Victor Shores - likeistillcare.com
Tiny Moving Parts - Exactly, Exactly
We’ve listened to the final mixes, and we have never been more excited to share with you all.

We recorded at the Jackson Climb with Matt McMonagle and he made us sound so great.
This man knows his audio, and the studio is so rad, so check them out and hit them up for any recording/audio needs!

Just stole some internet to post this, and there will be more pictures and posts to come.

2 more weeks of TORE, so check out the links and come hang with us!
